Privacy Policy

Eurotek Refining Services has always respected your privacy and will continue to do so in the online world. You are in control of what information we collect about you. However, if you choose not to share your information some areas of the website may not be accessible or useable. We may ask you for information about yourself when you register online, when you book or search for training courses or other products or services, or when you request brochures or other information. We may also invite you to complete surveys or provide us with feedback. We collect information about your use of the website from cookies. We use your data to improve the service we offer you and to try and ensure that you get the best out of our web-site. Eurotek Refining Services is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to third parties in ways other than those disclosed in this policy.

Our site uses cookies – Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit or certain emails you open. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide business and marketing information to the owners of the site. Cookies can also help us to track and target the interests of our users in order to enhance the experience on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, they can still use our site. Non-marketing use

We will use the information you enter at the site for administration purposes and any other purposes made clear in the data entry forms themselves, in any relevant terms or conditions and on any pages or emails which link to such forms. Certain cookies sent to your browser will help us to save you time. For example, if you’re halfway through a registration our cookies may allow you to browse other areas of the website and then return to your registration. This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with industry standard encryption software. Eurotek Refining Services Ltd will not electronically store any credit card information. Any paper records of credit cards details taken over the phone for payment will be entered immediately into the secure payments system and then will be pulped following their entry into the system. All credit card transactions will be made using a secure encrypted service such as PayPal, Sage Pay, or WorldPay. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted to our offices. The servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.

Website customisation and targeting of adverts

We use the data you give us about yourself when you register online to build up a picture of your interests – we then try to ensure that when you visit the site, you don’t miss the offers and information relevant to you. Eurotek Refining Services may collect website usage information about visitors to our website for the purposes of statistical analysis, sales and marketing research, tracking page usage and paths used by visitors through our site, targeting the site content, targeting our marketing campaigns and direct marketing emails, targeting our Internet banner advertisements on our website and on other websites and tracking use of our Internet banner advertisements. For this purpose, we and our third party advertising companies may note information on the path you take to get to our site and on some of the pages you visit on our website (including for example the options you select and the search terms you use) through the use of cookies. We may also combine this web usage data with other information we have collected about you, for example, whether you have arrived at our site through a marketing email sent to an individual account, registration data and web usage data stored against a previous cookie set on your machine. We may store this information so that we have a better and more specific understanding of the way customers are using our site and their preferences and interests. We may use it to undertake sales and marketing research and to tailor our site, our marketing campaigns and email communications specifically to you, and your recent activity on our site.

E-mail alerts

If a user wishes to subscribe to our alerts, updates, briefings etc. we ask for contact and delivery information such as name and e-mail address. All of these e-mail lists provide opt out facilities online and with each e-mail broadcast. In some cases the user is asked to provide optional demographic and personal interest information that is used to keep our content as relevant as possible. We try to ensure that customers do not receive duplicate communications even if we have more than one marketing consent from the same customer.  You will not receive direct marketing from companies outside the Eurotek Refining Services group as a result of giving your details to us; if, in exceptional circumstances, we ever wanted to allow a third party to send you direct marketing, we would seek your consent before sharing your data with that third party. We will normally send direct marketing by email if we have your email address.
If you would like us to stop sending direct marketing to you, we offer simple ways to do this. Whenever you receive direct marketing you will be told how to unsubscribe.
If you consented to receive marketing communications when you made a registration or requested a brochure you can tell us that you do not wish to receive any more by emailing us or by writing, with your full name, address and other contact details (to enable us to find your records), to:

If you tell us that you do not wish to receive further direct marketing, you will still receive communications confirming and servicing any registrations you make with us. Disclosure of your data to others may be necessary to ensure the smooth provision to you of the products, services and information you request. If you are a registered customer you can change your personal details at any time by amending your profile by emailing us.
